Welcome!

Welcome to the home page for The Fixx mailing list, an automated list server dedicated to discussion about The Fixx, its members, and their music. The list has existed since the summer of 1994, has around 300 Fixxtures (what fans refer to themselves as), with lively discussions always going on. There is also a full archive containing all email sent to the list since its inception.

To join theFixx mailing list

Before you sign up, you must first decide which flavor of the list you'd like to recieve:

The reflector list sends each post to you as it comes in. The mailing list can get quite active at times, with as many as 20 or 30 messages in a day. A more normal day sees between 5 and 10 messages.

The digest version of the list collects all posts during the day and sends out just one message to you at the end of the day.

You can easily switch from one list to another at any time, so I suggest signing up on the reflector version to start out. We've found that people who are on the reflector list tend to be much more involved than those on the digest - this is most likely because it's much easier each to respond to one message that interests you than having to edit out a subsection of the digest.

About the email list...

You will be heard by the band! Lead singer Cy Curnin has been directly on the list nearly since its inception in 1994, although he tends to lurk and not say much.

During the Elemental tour in 1998, we learned that every member of the band reads the mailing list in some form or another. Band management is on the list as well.

Several of the list members have gotten together from time to time, and many consider list members as close friends. As such, we encourage that list bickering and arguments be kept to a minimum. Heated debates are allowed, even encouraged, but flat out personal attacks are not tolerated. Please see the list guidelines page for more.
